The show that I recently watched on Netflix in The Witcher which I watched in two days, never heard of the Witcher after watching it and found out that it comes from a book. I am happy I didn’t read the books first because a lot of the time tv or movies ruin the book for me. The Witcher is a very good show that is inspired in medieval times. I liked it a lot and can’t wait for the next season. The Witcher is about a Witcher which is a mutated monster Hunter and his name is Gerald of rivia, Gerald goes from place to place in the world to kill beasts that people pay him for to kill. Gerald is the main character Gerald is very quiet and at times he talks to his horse, he likes to be a loner he doesn’t believe in people and has any trust in them, he believes most humans are evil and greedy. Gerald doesn’t like to talk unless he has too. I feel like his best way of communicating is with his sword or when he is just quiet, that means he likes you or accepts your company. Gerald meets Jaskier who befriends Gerald even though Gerald was against it, Jaskier starts following him so he can sing and tell his story to the world. This interpersonal relationship is a very complex one because gerald doesn’t or seem like he doesn’t want jaskier around and jaskier stays until the end of the last episode which he couldn’t talk about gerald mistreatment. So the relationship is not good or bad, I really think it’s a good relationship. The only real relationship or friend Gerald has is the only person he gets to talk to on the road and keeps him company they both keep each other company. Jaskier is a singer he is a very talkative person, he is always talking while Gerald is always quiet and analyzing the situation, jaskier doesn’t think before he speaks while Gerald analyzes every word and every response. At the end of the episode when jaskier left gerald was very sad, he took him for granted he has been alone for such a long time that he forgot how to have interpersonal relationships, when he did it was with fear and always knowing they will end, because his delusion in people is greater than his need of relationships.
If I were a character in this show, I hardly see myself in any of the characters because I think all the characters are complicated and I perceive myself as not complicated. The reason the characters are complicated is because they all have problems communicating, they don’t speak enough and when they do they don’t see what they really want, they expect the other person to understand what they are saying without saying it. The most talkative and uncomplicated character is Jaskier and i think he talks too much and when you talk too much is a problem, saying too much brings problems, he doesn’t know when to speak, i think i know when to speak or i try to know when to speak. But if i would have to be a character it would be Trisis of Merigold, trisis is friend of Gerald and everyone and she is also in love with him but her friend is also in love with him, so she loves him from silence because her friendship to both is more important than her love, Trisis is selfless well to me that makes her selfless and i am selfless well I like to think i am. Trisis is and is not very talkative. She says enough, she says what you want to hear to understand you and your interest, she is very smart and uses communication to her advantage and knows how to use communication to get the answers she is looking for. I like to believe that I think before I speak like Trisis, I think I use communication to my advancement and Advantage.
